The West Coast of New Zealand is known for its rain forest, hence the nickname “Wet Coast.” We think we heard it rains 250+ days a year on the West Coast, and the day we drove through was one of those days! This is an example of the densely forested hill/mountainsides on the this coast, between Greymouth and Westport with the constant rain forest mist hanging in the valleys.
